I need an information about 3 cylinders suzukiwilli2005 01-23-2005, 05:06 PM I need information about which kind of car uses an engine with these characteristics: a suzuki 3 cylinders with a turbo and intercooler. This engine is full injection and it belongs to a vehicle of a frontal traction. I will thank you for your thecnicist information about this engine. SeanMurphy 01-23-2005, 06:11 PM Is it multiport injection or throttle body injection? There was a turbo sprint as well as a turbo firefly (in canada) that used a 3 cylinder turbo engine. Made around 76hp, if i recall correctly. I guess I should mention that the Suzuki 3 used in the sprint/metro/firefly/swift was Throttle Body injection or Carburated. I dont think there was a multiport injection made for these cars, at least not with the turbo option, though I have been wrong before. geozukigti 01-24-2005, 05:42 PM Yes. It was canadian built and sold. It was the Chevy Sprint Turbo, and Pontiac Firefly Turbo. They were a 3cyl turbo, top mount intercooler, multiport fuel injecton(3 direct injectors+ a cold idle injector in the manifold), bottle style intake manifold w/throttle body, low compression nitride coated pistons. 76hp/100ft-lbs of torque. All were front wheel drive, 4.11:1 final drive ratio. It uses an IHI-RHB3 turbocharger. It's a non-rebuildable unit. Anything else? :icon16: SeanMurphy 01-26-2005, 07:16 AM Huh. Never knew they made them MPFI. Learn something new every day. I've had two different 3 cylinders, though neither turbo. One was carburated (88 firefly) and my current 98 Metro is TBI. geozukigti 01-26-2005, 04:12 PM Here's a pic of my buddy's turbo 3 convertible project. You can see the fuel rail behind the valve cover with the fuel injectors in it. http://img188.exs.cx/img188/9031/t38re.jpg SeanMurphy 01-27-2005, 11:38 AM Cool. That engine looks awesome. Nice and clean. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
