Stratoraptor 01-23-2005, 04:53 AM Very nice. I didn't know that Jay had a Carrera GT. Thanks. I didn't either, but we all knew he was going to get one sooner or later. :P mini magic 01-23-2005, 11:30 AM I've heard there will be a McLaren F1 on autorox. I can't say any more but it certainly will be interesting. dhabes 01-24-2005, 12:58 PM One of my friends up here at school did an internship with Jay last summer. In addition, her dad is the former head of SVT for Ford and he had a close relationship with Jay...who threw a retirement party for him a month ago in his garage. Leno has some amazing cars. teflon 01-24-2005, 01:35 PM Jay Leno is, quite possibly, the only person in the world who was given a loaner CGT by Porsche while he waited for his personal one to arrive. There is speculation that this was done so that he could provide some positive PR for the car since it was not selling as well as Porsche had hoped--which he did. It is also not clear if he had to pay for his personal car. None of the people who paid the $50,000 deposit and actually bought CGTs were offered the chance to drive the cars at Leipzig or anywhere else and none were provided loaners. Greg A I know that Jerry Seinfeld got to drive the car before he got his. Can someone please record Autorox and make it available to download. I don't get SpikeTV, and really want to watch it. Thanks. Anyone? jcsaleen 01-24-2005, 06:53 PM I was gonna say jerry seinfeild over any one just because of his vast porsche collection. Btw ~ Ill try an rec for you malka. Peloton25 01-24-2005, 07:01 PM None of the people who paid the $50,000 deposit and actually bought CGTs were offered the chance to drive the cars at Leipzig or anywhere else and none were provided loaners. Greg A There's a ton of truth in that statement. I have a friend who's Carrera GT is shipping from the factory next month and he has been to Germany twice for the dog and pony show they have going on in Leipzig. He wasn't been able to drive the car either time he went. I was fairly surprised they don't at least set up something on a very wide piece of asphalt with no objects or barriers to run into so people can at least get a feel for the car. The passenger seat just does not offer the kind of involvement I would want before shelling out half a million dollars for a car, at least in my opinion. >8^) ER jcsaleen 01-24-2005, 07:22 PM Does Mclaren do test drives? The slr they allow it. He told me I'd have to put down 10k first lol. Its just the dealer's opinion I guess. Styledoesntscream 01-24-2005, 08:37 PM if I had the money like my garage would at least exist of: Koenigsegg CCR Porsche Carrera GT McLaren F1 (with LM kit) Pagani Zonda C12S TVR Sagaris Ford GT Ferrari Enzo Ferrari F50 Ferrari Challenge Stradale Lamborghini Diablo SE30 Jota Jaguar XJ220 Jaguar XJR-15 jcsaleen 01-24-2005, 08:59 PM if I had the money like my garage would at least exist of: Koenigsegg CCR Porsche Carrera GT McLaren F1 (with LM kit) Pagani Zonda C12S TVR Sagaris Ford GT Ferrari Enzo Ferrari F50 Ferrari Challenge Stradale Lamborghini Diablo SE30 Jota Jaguar XJ220 Jaguar XJR-15 I Agree except for the sagaris (replaced witha cerebra speed 12) an the Jota looks like its made outa cardboard. Styledoesntscream 01-24-2005, 11:04 PM if I had the money like my garage would at least exist of: Koenigsegg CCR Porsche Carrera GT McLaren F1 (with LM kit) Pagani Zonda C12S TVR Sagaris Ford GT Ferrari Enzo Ferrari F50 Ferrari Challenge Stradale Lamborghini Diablo SE30 Jota Jaguar XJ220 Jaguar XJR-15 Cerbera Speed 12 is a brute but you can NOT drive it. It is really impossible to handle; even TVR itself said that. The Sagaris is the wildest TVR ever so therefor I would buy one Diablo SE30 is best ever Diablo:-) jcsaleen 01-25-2005, 08:22 PM Nothing is uncontrolable. ArchangelGTR 01-26-2005, 10:29 AM If you're going to get the Jota why not get the original Lamborghini Jota.. the Muira SV. A much sexier car IMO. Thorst13 01-26-2005, 11:19 AM WHEN I have the money my garage will be these: McLaren F1 McLaren GT McLaren F1 with DF kit or preferrably LM McLaren GTR LONG Ferrari 288 GTO Ferrari 355 Berlinetta Ferrari 360 stradale Ferrari 550 Maranello Ferrari F40 Ferrari F50 ENZO Ferrari Porsche 959 Porsche GT1 Porsche Carrera GT Porsche Dauer 962 Lamborghini Miura SV Lamborghini Countach Lamborghini Diablo SV Lamborghini Diablo 6.0 Lamborghini Diablo GTR Lamborghini Murcielago Mercedes CLK-GTR Mercedes SLR McLaren TVR speed 12 Koenigsegg CCR Pagani Zonda C12R Vector W8 B-engineering Edonis Nissan Skyline GTR R-34 Nissan Sunny GTI-R Ford RS200 Wow, it's gonna cost a bit I see...... :loser: Mclaren240! 01-27-2005, 01:39 PM If i had the money..... couldent list them all. maartenvanthek 01-27-2005, 05:05 PM ariel atom, mclaren f1, bmw m5 e60, lancer evo mr 340 and a rolls royce phantom. that is gonna cost me, including (ridiculously high dutch) taxes: 50.000 + 1.500.000 + 120.000 + 70.000 + 600.000 = 2.340.000, and that is 'quite' affordable Porsche 01-29-2005, 06:21 PM Oh no, not one of these threads! People, while it's easy to waste time & energy on dreaming, you've got to think a little realistically. My dream garage would be no more than 4-5 cars, any more than that and you're bound to neglect. Mclaren240! 01-30-2005, 12:57 PM You cant take my dream with practacalities like that! I wont let you! If nay when i build the greates collection the world has ever sceen i wont be the only one to drive them....... Carfreak18 02-14-2005, 06:02 PM Hey jcsaleen...Tell your friends over at SpikeTV to get rid of FMF..(FUNKMASTERFLEX)....I hate taht guy but just my opinoun..and thanks for the pics man jcsaleen 02-14-2005, 07:12 PM lol they can only hope to get rid of him lol hes to much of a figure head now.... unfortunatly :( vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
