1991 s10 blazer 4x4 eng. dies in rev/drive

starts great, runs great, dies when i put it in rev. or drive.
put in new coil and new distributor with new control mod,pick-up coil
new ecm, all tune up parts are new, its in the shop and was on a scope
they can't find anything wrong, if i unplug the wire to set the timing the vehicle drives great. any ideas?

Check your knock sensor.

knock sensor checks out ok, fuel press. checks out ok, the shop had the blazer for 2 weeks now and gave up on it. ground wires were allso checked. everything is new so they are at a loss as to what is wrong.

update: got it fixed, the new distributor was bad, got another one and its back on the road again!
