2001 Grand Cherokee--won't start--battery tested and fine--did this once before--crank for a while perfect and then all of a sudden won't crank anymore. One click when you turn the key.

HI, CHECK THE CABLES THAT THEY ARE CLEAN AND TIGHT CHECK THE GROUND WIRES FROM BATTERY TO BODY ALSO. DALE :2cents:

Is the cables appear ok, pull the started and have it bench checked (I went through the same thing a week ago) at an auto parts store (I went to Pepboys).

Also, you may want to consired the possibility of onternally corroded cables. An easy way to checl this is to use jumper cables directly feom the positive battery post to the starter (bypasing the positive cable).

CHeck for wire corrosion just after the battery cable connectors. Pay particular to the green wire.

is it a 4.7?the starters go bad and thats what happens
