LoL ZedEx 01-19-2005, 07:57 PM God that custom manifold must have cost a fortune to make... That engine still gives me chills everytime I see it :D -Wes DeleriousZ 01-19-2005, 08:36 PM 720hp in a 2000 lb car.... now that's hold onto your balls fast.... Zgringo 01-19-2005, 10:40 PM Guess what guys Ima gonna have one. My son got me a 240Zed up in Salt Lake and I have 1 extra VH45DE sitting in my shop looking for a place to go, and I've got hold of Arley and ordered another for a spare. I've been looking at goodies for the brakes and under carriage and well be ordering soon. I want a -9 second street Zed. zedjester 01-19-2005, 11:38 PM What a beautiful sight...I could look at that thing all day. DeleriousZ 01-19-2005, 11:59 PM now that i look at it... that poor radiator... air has to get through the intercoolers and the oil(?) cooler before hitting it.. hope it's getting enough airflow... k3smostwanted 01-20-2005, 12:16 AM now that i look at it... that poor radiator... air has to get through the intercoolers and the oil(?) cooler before hitting it.. hope it's getting enough airflow... ehh....it should be getting enough air, there is no damn HOOD!!! anyways, they probably have a nice hood induction or soemthing to get more air circulating -The Stig- 01-20-2005, 12:20 AM i'm sure at the speeds it goes, it'll get enough air rammed in. ZedEx 01-20-2005, 08:48 AM Zgringo... How much you want to sell me the VH for :D -Wes 1viadrft 01-20-2005, 05:23 PM I'm pretty sure the car is used only for drag... so air getting to the rad. shouldn't be an issue. pnoiSR20 01-20-2005, 05:35 PM WTF...i thought the only motor big enough for that would be the RB26. Damn...how much do those motors fucken cost? 1viadrft 01-20-2005, 05:39 PM You pretty much have to make 'em yourself... VH45DETT is not a real production engine. The VH45DE comes out of a Q45/President/Cima and puts out a lil' over 300HP stock. Pull it out of those luxo-cars and TT it and you have a monster V8-TT engine that eats Porsche's and Vette's for breakfast. Zgringo 01-20-2005, 09:28 PM Zgringo... How much you want to sell me the VH for :D -Wes Wes I can get the engine, transmission wiring harness and computer for $1,000. To be correct George 340HP N/A and with a good exhaust and intake 400+HP, but if you TT it to 15# boost, 'bout 800HP give or take a few. 1viadrft 01-20-2005, 10:06 PM To be correct George 340HP N/A and with a good exhaust and intake 400+HP, but if you TT it to 15# boost, 'bout 800HP give or take a few. 340? Are you sure? I can't find reference's to back that up! Not doubting you though, Alberto... rendertrust 01-20-2005, 10:53 PM well my friend just finished fixing up his 1967 Z28 camaro .. it has a 350 in it .... think if i get the VH upgrade i might be able to keep up.. his car is probly 300 pounds heavier than mine.. Zgringo 01-21-2005, 12:07 AM 340? Are you sure? I can't find reference's to back that up! Not doubting you though, Alberto... Sorry, VH45DE=287HP, VK45DE=340HP I'm using the VH45DE with VK heads. Hodo 01-21-2005, 02:00 PM Is that a sponsership thing where you get engines for dirt cheap? And can you get me a VQ30DE with motor mounts and wiring with ECU? I am in no rush on that. 1viadrft 01-22-2005, 01:04 AM Sorry, VH45DE=287HP, VK45DE=340HP I'm using the VH45DE with VK heads. Wooo-hoooo! :evillol: E Honda 01-22-2005, 03:49 AM HAHA all that car and I don't see a shift knob. http://www.zparts.com/showcase/engines/images/q45zpower_20rw.jpg Zgringo 01-22-2005, 01:51 PM Wooo-hoooo! :evillol: But a VH45DE with VK45DE heads has 352HP. And it's still a stock N/A engine and 100lbs. lighter. Wooo-hoooo-hooo.:evillol: rendertrust 01-22-2005, 03:01 PM dude thats awsome, currently i have a job as a freelance reporter, im going to save up for that lil upgrade, but i like the sound of turbos so id TT it just for sounds.... did you make your own custom exhaust for the VH? k3smostwanted 01-22-2005, 04:40 PM dude thats awsome, currently i have a job as a freelance reporter, im going to save up for that lil upgrade, but i like the sound of turbos so id TT it just for sounds.... did you make your own custom exhaust for the VH? your gonna TT it just for the sound???? are you a crack baby??? your gonna end up shelling out some big bucks so you can here turbos spooling and BOV's....and then spend money on new upholestry because your gonna start having sudden bowel movements in your cockpit... rendertrust 01-22-2005, 06:33 PM haha, well theres really no reason to TT a motor that big, its already supreme, i just want to have the 300zx a respected car and sound cool plus i could get the TT emblem without feeling like a poser and the TT spoiler cause i like those how is the powerband on a VH compared to a VG, I would guess that the VH has more power at lower rpms because its for torque ... Zgringo 01-22-2005, 08:49 PM I think it would be in your best interest if you went back and viewed this video again before you say you want to install a TT kit for the sound. I think unless you install a very quite exhaust you'll never hear the turbo sound. And I think K3 is correct about your upholestry issue. Not only that, you'd better buy some stock in a tire company, as you'll be going through tires like shit through a tin horn. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=336940 vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
