Can someone please tell me how to remove the transmission line from my Radiator for a '96 Taurus. I am replacing the radiator myself and am not sure if I need a special tool or will just a wrench work. The radiator itself is encased in a large plastic cover and the line is hard to get to.
Thanks,
Dan

i have the same exact problem. recently the thermostat on my 95 taurus got stuck shut and i didnt notice till i cracked my radiator. but yea you need a special tool called a "cooler line disconnect tool T82L-9500-AH"

The transmission line connection is visible accessible from the front, in the opening at the bottom of the front bumper on the left (drivers) side. I was able to disconnect mine easily without a special tool, since there is only a spring clamp that needs to be compressed with a set of pliers. You get better access if you remove the splash panel that is attached to the bottom of the bumper.
