rainy and wet in washingtonmazdatech 01-19-2005, 02:59 PM I was returning home after repairing a '71 skylark of a friends and my truck became jealous and started running like the fuel regulator went bad. sputtering and blowing black smoke it would hardly move. The check engine light came on and than finally it started to go but was running terrible. I think I said every bad word in the book twice and some, i made up. I suspected the worst....Once home I grounded the diag pin and retrieved the codes.....8, 9, 11, 12, 14, and a 17 as I suspected my ECU just died #14 atmospheric pressure sensor(internal in the ecu) so immediatly I removed the ecu expecting to find signs of water or moisture in it but their was none. weird? So I called around and the dealer wants $1850 for a new ecu, I had to change my shorts, but after changing my shorts i tryed to locate an used one, 1 available $450 ouch. Does anyone know where I can get one that wont double the value of my truck? 1990 b2200 fuel injected manual trans(calif. model) ecu# F2G8-18-881A or if any other mazdas of the same era might also have this ecu(626, mx6)???
