My automatic door locks don't lock when I put the car in gear and the "Door Ajar" symbol lights up on the instrument panel. Obviously the red light is letting me know that one of my doors are open, but even when all doors are completely shut the light remains on and the doors don't lock. What's strange is it doesn't happen all the time. Sometimes the doors will lock all of a sudden while driving down the road. Could something be loose or shorted out?

OK.......I've looked at some of the other threads and it seems it might be a door latch problem...can someone help???

I had the same problem, it is a door latch. I sprayed a WD40 in the door latch wait for couple of minutes and then the problem will go away, you might need to spray the WD40 on all four doors.

THANK YOU, I THINK IT WORKED. NO MORE LIGHT , SO THE DOORS LOCK NOW TOO.
