Enable European frequences in old ZX radio?Thorell 01-19-2005, 09:20 AM Is there a simple way of enabling ALL european FM frequences in my radio of a 1987 Nizzan 300ZX USA model? (Europe does not skip even multiples of 0.1 mHz) I want to be able to tune in 88.5, 88.6, 88.7, 88.8 and so on. 1viadrft 01-19-2005, 09:57 AM Why? Thorell 01-19-2005, 11:09 AM Why? Because it is very inconvenient not to be able to listen to all FM stations in Europe. Only to those ending with .1 .3 .5 .7 .9 mHz. For example: It is impossible to tune in a station like 98.0, because you don't have that frequency in the US. 1viadrft 01-19-2005, 01:01 PM Okay... I'm confused... were do you live??? Thorell 01-19-2005, 03:46 PM Okay... I'm confused... were do you live??? I live part time in Europe and I shipped the car to Europe, from Long Beach. Hodo 01-19-2005, 04:06 PM Honestly I dont think there is a way to reprogram the head unit to do that, may want to ask around at audio shops in the Euro community, I am sure there are places that can do it, or just get you a european head unit. k3smostwanted 01-19-2005, 04:14 PM i never knew that about the frequencies...i guess that could bring about a problem if your favorite european station is an even number. your probably going to have to buy a new head unit... 1viadrft 01-19-2005, 04:30 PM That's what I would do... the stock head unit in those old Z's are crap anyway! For $50 you can get a decent brand spanking new head unit... Thorell 01-20-2005, 10:33 AM I just took a chance and hoped that there would be just a 'jumper' to remove or something like that. I honestly think they deliver the same radio all over the place, with just a minor modification. I schematic diagram would reveal that. 1viadrft 01-20-2005, 01:49 PM Good luck... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
