Check your CV Joint. Only thing I can think of, does it wobble @ 40mph?

You may have a bad speed sensor. One is by the left tire and is easy to get to but it'll be the other one on top of the trans. between the engine and the exhaust.

hi im interested in what the outcome is on this as i have a 1997 that is doing the same thing i took it to 2 trans shops that told me i need a rebuild i dont beleive that as all other gears are fine i think there is something sticking the 1-2 shift is very harsh like a shift kit all other shifts are smooth
