side doors child locks

I just bought a 2002 grand caravan. I assumed that it had child safety locks on the sliding doors that my "94 had but I don't see a switch on the doors. Can this be added or am I missing something?

Open the doors completely, then look at the BACK edge of the door and you will find them there.
