I think the ridgeline is going to be a big hit. I have a F150 if I were in the market I would buy a Ridgeline to replace it. I want a truck thats more sport utility like without sacirficing truck looks and versitiliy. If tough enough the Ridgeline will start a evolution in pickup design. Looks good to me.

Looks a little like the Mitsu Raider: http://www.mitsubishicars.com/06raider/
I forget what american truck this was based off of (based off of as in they jsut changed the front end and put mistubishi logos on it.)

i think its a very smart move by honda..everyone knows honda's as the vehical that u cant kill (well people other then us) and thats what people want in a truck. I can see this truck being around for awhile

The only thing I don't like about it is that it uses a uni-body construction. I think that a truck should have a full frame, and a bed that is not attached to the cab. Other than that it is fine and I think that it will make a good impression on people that are in the market for a truck.

I think this move could be a good one for Honda. My only question is how much torque does the ridgeline offer. I mean compared to Domestics and other higher output imports where would the ridgeline stand? Will ridgeline owners get smoked by others like dodge or chevy or even the new mitsu discussed in the previous threads?

Yeah i looked it up, it's actually the new Dodge Dakota. It's all the same to me :D Yes the new Mitsu. Raider is just a Dodge Dakota but the Ridgeline is VERY differint truck. Good for 99% of US truck buyers that want to make-up for something small in there pants by driving a truck. they don't have a reason to, if you are carrying heavy stuff 80% of the time buy a truck if not get a trailer and leave some SPACE and GAS for the rest of us PLEASE!! OK, better now!

can you lift it?

can you lift it?

The Dakota/Raider=junk?? You can lift a uni-body vehicle like a Ridgeline. There are Subaru lift kits from Old Man Emu in Ausi. land, and lift kits for Toyota Tercel 4WD station wagons. So, In the future Ridgeline should be able to be lifted if there is a demand for such a thing.

The main thing is the Ridgline makes sense for 99% of Truck (posers) I mean buyers these days

I agree with you on how it should be a full frame. I also think that they should make a large truck like nissan did with the titan ( maybe a v8 ) so they can take a share out of the big three american truck manufacturers so Honda can make an even bigger profit not mention at least the Honda would be the best made most reliable truck compared to all the others.

I think the ridgeline looks pretty bad. But, it is true "honda is a vehicle you can't kill" so a lot of people will probably get them as a good reliable truck.

i dont see what's wrong with these things. the styling is aggressive and tough. Truth be told, i cant wait until people start giving them a 4" drop and superchargers (i'm sure someone's going to develop one soon)

it might be suscessfull... it looks good but its a cross between a SUV and a truck, has lots-O-potential for in town users/soccer moms

The built in trunk under the bed will hold about 3 cases of soda with ice and has a drain. Sounds like a party!

Yeah I'm actually starting to like those things now. It's starting to grow on me. The trunk thing is definently a kool idea.

Well i'm gonna be very disapointed if there's NOT a lift kit for the new ridgeline. I don't see how you can get that much lift out of it, and the damn thing will probably cost an arm-and-leg. But oh well, i still gotta have the truck this fall. I'm in love with them.
