I have this grinding noise coming from the left rear side of my car. I've had to get the wheel bearings replaced before but don't know if that's what the noise is. I can only hear it when going 0-15 m.p.h. about. Whether its going forward, backwars, or coasting. But sometimes it doesn't do it at all, but it's been getting more common lately. I have 4 wheel disc brakes. PLEASE HELP!! (95 Integra GS-R)

The first thing I would check is the brake pads. When they get low a wear indicator will rub on the rotor to let you know it needs new pads. If it does need pads, the rotors should be resurfaced or replaced if needed.

It ended up needing new pads, both rear calipers needed to be replaced because they were frozen to the rotors, and then the rotors needed turning!

Things just aren't that simple nowadays.
Thanks.

I take it proper maintenance isn't performed. At least once a year the brakes should be serviced which includes lubing the slides, pads, reatainers, and shims.
