1999 740IL Headlight problempwhaley6347 01-14-2005, 11:29 PM My right low beam (Xenon type) headlight occasionally does not come on. If I cycle the switch a couple of times, it will come on. I'm thinking of replacing the bulb but want some feedback before I purchase the bulb (>$100 per bulb!) Thanks in advance! libertylover 01-19-2005, 07:03 AM I know some bulbs, like the ones used for street lights, will work/not work as they reach the end of their life-cycle so maybe it's just the bulb but...Another poster found a problem with a relay in the LKM (Light Control Module). For the older 88-94 models the LKM is located under the hood in the Front Power Distribution Box (relay box). It's long and skinny and takes the full length of the box. Next time the light fails to come on, tap on the LKM and see if it comes on. If so, you probably have a bad relay in the LKM and that's what should be replaced. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
