Hello all,
my younger brother has just completed one of his first automobile kitsets, the 2002 Maxim Steve Kinser Quakerstate livery sprintcar.
He was feeling rather proud of himself so thought would post it for some positive feedback from all you pro's for his next car, hes keen to jump ship from Aircraft to automobiles, so any advice on improvements is very welcome!

Well done WRCfan Jr! You've done a great job on that midget (is that the right term? :dunno: ). Paint and decal work look excellent. :thumbsup:
One improvement that you could make is to sand out the ejector pin marks on the inside part ot the wing endplate before painting. It is covering all the little details like that which start to make models look real, be they cars, aircraft or whatever.

Quick primer R-R.
Midget = four cylinder car
Sprint = V8 car with slightly longer wheelbase (can't give specifics on the midget, but a sprinter has a 96in wheelbase)
Silver Crown = V8 car with 105in wheelbase, starter, and transmission.
Having said that, good work on this rendition of the King's ride. Definitely looks good.

Yeah the V8 Sprintcar's pump out 700+ horsepower, and will run a 440metre track in 13.78 seconds on a flyer, Dickie Gaines (son of the legendary Dick Gaines was the record breaker).
Can anyone tell me whether the 'World of outlaws' is different to Sprintcar racing? Are the cars the same?

The World of Outlaws is the world's premier sprint car racing series, and Steve Kinser is its biggest star. They run several events in Australia (Parramatta Raceway, unless I miss my guess) and then run a long season tour of the states with 90 nights of racing.
This weekend, in fact, WoO was in action kicking off their season at Parramatta. Jason Meyers set fast time with an 11.894 second lap on Parramatta's 460meter track. The feature was won by Donny Schatz.
Of course, I'm very fortunate. WoO comes to several tracks here in Ohio, and Ohio, Indiana, and Pennsylvania have one of the "feeder" series for WoO - The Sprint All Stars which is the single most respected regional sprint car series out there. The All-Star's current big stars (who often compete and win in WoO races when they're in the area) are......
