grind at startfreakonaleash1187 01-14-2005, 08:39 AM it is 10 degrees farenheit out right now and i went to start my z to warm it up. i turned the key over the first time and it made a grinding noise and the engine didn't turn over. i took the key out and sat there for a second and tried it again and it started just fine like always. was that grinding noise my starter going out? -Jared k3smostwanted 01-14-2005, 10:13 AM its definitely the starter. it is probably on its way out...mine does the same thing, but thats becauses i have to crank on my starter for about 10 minutes everytime i want to start it in the winter. Hodo 01-14-2005, 01:04 PM yea its the starter mine does it too sometimes.... not to worried about it, it gets replaced when i get to the exhaust system. freakonaleash1187 01-14-2005, 10:46 PM well, it has only been doing every once in a while, like when it sits for more than 7 hours in below 10 degree weather. by the way, how hard is it to replace one? -Jared k3smostwanted 01-14-2005, 11:15 PM its not too bad...i dont exactly remember how it was in when i replaced mine but i remember it being too much of a pain in the a**. DeleriousZ 01-15-2005, 02:50 PM don't you have to drop the tranny or something? k3smostwanted 01-15-2005, 03:27 PM i didnt... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
