radiator question 85 blazerflatire 01-13-2005, 11:35 PM i need a new radator and i dont know if i have a engine oil cooler or not. can someone tell me what to look 4 thanx. flatire BlazerLT 01-14-2005, 01:25 AM You will have separate lines going to the rad as well other than the big coolant hoses. Take a look. Fireplug 01-14-2005, 11:12 AM On the side tanks of the rad if you have an auto trans there will be 2 metal lines for the trans cooler. Also a upper and a lower rad hose. If there are any other lines trace them and see where they go. I would bet no oil cooler flatire 01-14-2005, 05:47 PM well i checked it out and no extra lines, just the ones you guys spoke about.so i dont have the engine oil cooler.but i still have a worrie.the motor was changed and since that happined its been overheating wich is why im looking for a new radiator.im wondering if the motor thats in it now needs an engine oil cooler and if it does will that be the overheating problem?how can i tell if the motor needs the engine oil cooler, yalls help is appreciated. thanx flatire BlazerLT 01-14-2005, 06:00 PM You don't change a rad because you are overheating. You check the timing, the thermostat etc.. before you EVER change a rad. Have you done a flush and fill on the new engine and cooling system? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
