leaking transmission fluid 91 caravanphantomskyy 01-13-2005, 06:16 PM hubby noticed some drips of transmission fluid under the van,we have owned the van less then a week we are wondering if maybe just the pan was loose and needed to be tightened any enlightment would be super .Its a 3.3 6ltre phantomskyy 01-13-2005, 06:26 PM oops my bad its a 92 lol shows how much i know lol Maxpen 01-14-2005, 12:00 AM The problem maybe the clamps on the transmission hoses. They loosen up especially in cold and winter weather. Tighten them up and see if that stops the leakage. nipsirc 01-14-2005, 01:05 AM Make sure it is the transmission that is leaking and not the oil pan. If it is, do a tranny service and replace the tranny gasket and filter while you're at it. If it is the motor oil pan leak, then you know what to do. RexNfx400 01-14-2005, 01:05 AM Also, if anyone has used gaskets, because they should use silicone, while doing a filter change. The gaskets "WILL" leak. But yes, cooler lines, bottom pan, driver side axle seal and front pump o-ring is the common places. Hopefully you can pinpoint it easily :) And its not one of the "bad" spots... phantomskyy 01-14-2005, 01:41 PM tyavm i will post the result:) vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
