leaking transmission fluid 91 caravan

hubby noticed some drips of transmission fluid under the van,we have owned the van less then a week we are wondering if maybe just the pan was loose and needed to be tightened any enlightment would be super .Its a 3.3 6ltre

The problem maybe the clamps on the transmission hoses. They loosen up especially in cold and winter weather. Tighten them up and see if that stops the leakage.

Make sure it is the transmission that is leaking and not the oil pan. If it is, do a tranny service and replace the tranny gasket and filter while you're at it. If it is the motor oil pan leak, then you know what to do.

Also, if anyone has used gaskets, because they should use silicone, while doing a filter change. The gaskets "WILL" leak. But yes, cooler lines, bottom pan, driver side axle seal and front pump o-ring is the common places. Hopefully you can pinpoint it easily :) And its not one of the "bad" spots...
