Sentra Cap and Rotor HELP!jesikah6 01-13-2005, 03:40 PM So, I have this 1993 Sentra XE 5-speed that I've had for just about forever. Recently, it started eating fuel at double rate and acceleration slowed to a bare minimum. I replaced my plugs and plug wires first, but that didn't help, AT ALL. After consulting with my closest male friends and having the car looked at by a "weekend warrior", he told me that he could replace my cap and rotor reset the timing. Well, I bought the parts and 6 weeks later he has yet to fix it for me. Is this something that a total novice could do on a Saturday afternoon or should I wait for him to make time for my car? I am so sick of my car not running well but I don't have to money to take it in to a shop to have them do it. HHHHHEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPP Please leave specific instructions on how to do it. Thanks. Sincerely, Typical Girl Driver ;-) Stay Tuned 01-18-2005, 12:25 AM i dont think that cap and rotor have anything to do with hy your car is guzzling gas like that. u sure that one of your injectors isnt staying open?? does it smell like gas inside the car?? are u sure u dont have a gas leak?? could be an 02 sensor also vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
