Cool. My dad has a Holden GTO, basically the same as the pontiac just with a different nose.
I might have to get that kit and make it into an HSV

To be honest, I can't remember where I saw them, I do know I wanted it though.

Pretty sure it was off this link here

Was it the Aussie company Cavalier?

There's more to the GTO- HSV GTO then a differnt nose mate, there's the interior, which would be near impossible to get for a resin kit unless the body kit has the interior included. I'm pretty sure the Pontiac GTO has the 6.0L LS2 in it but I am probably wrong, I'd prefer the 2005 Holden Monaro to be completely honest.

do the holdens use nissan RB motors? I just heard this from a very unreliable source.

The VL (I think) Commodore from the eighties used a Nissan motor, but nothing else before or since.

WHEN WILL IT BE AVAILABLE!!!!

It should be soon. I've heard as early as next month. The test shot of the mold was already sold on EBAY, so I'm guessing they are already in production/packaging stages now. I'm looking forward to getting the street and track versions.

Here's a link to my Fotki folder from Drift Atlanta. The GTO pics are on page 2. The engine should be easy enough to steal out of a Revell Corvette kit. :)

Hey,

Ertl has put out a 1.24 scale version under its joyride companyname. I was wondering if they (diecast and polar lights plastic model) are going to be sharing the same tooling. The hood opens, and has oversized ugly wheel setup-typical diecast. Hopefully, the plastic kit does better.

The Polar Lights GTO's will be plastic bodied pre-painted, just like most snap kits, but the paint should strip off with rubbing alcohol if you choose to paint it a different color.
The Ryhs car, I hope is true to the real car.
