Does anyone know what year of Windstar has the least problems. (I know that some of you are laughing, but I'm serious). :grinno: Just curious if FORD made a Windstar without so many problems. While on the subject, anyone know which minivan has the best maintenance rating? Thanks.

Thats a simple to answer question. THere ain't a good year for these pieces of pure shit.

IMHO, 2001-2003. The newer the better. FMC started using the 'improved' AX4N transaxle in 2001 which supposedly is less problematic. Plus FMC supposedly has the PCV 'updates' (vlv cover) on the 2001+ run. Try to stick with a more basic LX, with no rear HVAC and less bells & whistles to break. They are the most minivan for the dollar.
