Starter motor on '89...............davemc53 01-10-2005, 10:57 AM works great when the engine is cold. But when the engine is hot, it barely will turn over. Any one got any ideas, or had this problem before? BleedDodge 01-10-2005, 12:59 PM I've seen that before on old cars where guys put headers on, and after awhile the starter would get too warm to function because the exhaust ran right beside it. I don't know what the problem is in your case though. i8uiky 01-18-2005, 12:33 AM sounds like the starter is going out take it in for a starter load test before your at the store and it wont start vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
