HELP...Should i buy '69 c-10 SBC 4spd, 2k...QUICKballs_to_the_wall 01-08-2005, 03:12 PM I need advice quick on this truck, It is a 1969 Chevy C-10 (1/2 ton), long bed, 350 (new cam), 4spd. Paint is orange with blue flames, painted about a year ago, some chips. The price is $2,000. ok Here is what I know Engine-350 4barrel, hotter cam Radio-Aftermarket CD player PS/PB-DOES NOT HAVE Wheels/tires-Good tires, lowered some Rust-very minimal, if any Wrecked?-NEVER Glass-Front is cracked, rest is good Bed-Started to rot, previous owners put plywood and a cheaper taneau cover over it Exhaust-Open headers  Have been told it is a beautiful truck, I NEED TO KNOW IF THIS IS WORTH BUYING... PROBLEMS NO-speedo (unhooked probably), Tach, or NO SECOND GEAR. -Thanks in advance J-Ri 01-08-2005, 05:18 PM I personally would not buy it for the following reasons: bigger cam - unless they rebuilt the engine also, it is just putting extra stress on worn parts. bed rotted - the frame is probably in similar condition, if not already, the rust will spread no second gear - if one gear doesn't work, the others may not be far behind balls_to_the_wall 01-08-2005, 07:45 PM ok...thanks, also i just drove something with no power brakes, and that also somethng that is going to make me not get it...i really like power brakes vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
