MadMac56 01-14-2005, 02:10 AM I suppose ya could...course you'd have to charge it a lot...might be better to upgrade to a more powerful alternator/battery combination up front... Just my :2cents: Markgase2000 01-14-2005, 09:36 AM I agree with madmac , also I am looking into a secondary battery , theres a small box that you can use inline that will keep the new battery from interfering with the charging system by using power from the battery only. Ill find out what is all needed today at work cus like I said Im doing the same for a sterio application. Your neons are suck low power (amps) it shouldnt have that much affect on your charge system and battery and if it is then you must have some problems to look into. Most neon arrangements are hard wireable or fuse holder friendly for power sources. Im not a tec so ask one they should be very helpfull. hjthoer 02-24-2005, 06:08 PM surely if you had room under the bonnet you could hook up 2 batteries and run everything off them and they will both get charged if u no wat i mean? dice daniels 03-17-2005, 12:43 AM first off you'll need to upgrade your alternator to a stronger one. That should be enough. But if you do still feel you need a battery in your trunk you'll have to run atleist a 4 gauge wire from the positive post of the battery under the hood through the inside of the car to the trunk and connect it to the positive post on your new battery. then you'll need another 4 gauge wire running from the negitve post of the battery to the body of your car. and then you will also need to use two 125 amp fuses. You'll need one as close to the positive posts on each battery as you can get. that way if the wire some how gets shorted you wont have a fire. And while you're at it you might as well invest in some car audio equipment since you'll have pleanty of power. shawnwilliams 04-04-2005, 11:54 PM just get a yellow top battery, everything will be fine and you want have this ugly, in the way battery in your trunk. mysatilac 04-06-2005, 01:27 AM :iagree: not to mention all the wiring you then wont have to do.-Although if you already have at least 4 gauge run for your system you can use this for the battery, and you'll only have to run wire from your system to your new battery, all in trunk, this is a good idea, but its not needed most of the time My buddy is about to upgrade his battery to a yellow cap, already has a six pack gel battery, already has a 2 ferad cap., and already beefed up his alternator, none of which helped him at idle-his battery gauge plumets when he stops at a red light, because of his huge system (let alone when he turns on his neons/headlights/rolls down his windows/etc.)... his windows roll down s l o w, If the Yellow Top battery doesn't help him (I'm sure it will) I will suggest this to him.
