I have a 1980 C2500 Suburban with full floating rear axle. I am going to change the rear brakes, but upon first glance it appears to be a daunting task. I know I have to remove the axles to take off the drums. Beyond that I am lost. I have never worked on the rear brakes of this truck, and need to overhaul them. I just need to know the proper removal and replacement procedure for the drums. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Might want to go to autozone or any place like that and get a repair manual. I think around $20. I have one for my 97 and my 86. They are a good investment.
