is that the new model masters custom lacquer system? if so how did it work. i see they've got some nice colors but seeing as how they are a branch of testors (correct?) im kind of scared to try it out

They work great!! I painted a Ferrari in a color from them and it looked alright to me:).

I'd say go without the stripes. It looks very good like it is. I think the stripes would make it look a bit weird.
