i did a search on "offset" but didnt really find what i wanted
I have 17" bsa rims dressed in 205/40/17's..but that was before i started really reading into rims. Now i think i wanna go down to a 16" (havent had the 17's on yet. car still isnt lowered) because 16" rims just seem to be the best idea. i like the enkei 16"x7" RS6's. Im pretty sure the offset on them is 35. I really dont even understand what offset really is. SOOO...
1) if someone could explain what offset is to me or send me a link that would be great
2) would 38 offset be bad?
3) best size tires for them?
My goal is to have little to no rub!!!!
i have B+G springs that will lower my car "1.75

For a 16x7" wheel on a Civic you need a 42-44mm offset to fit right if you want to lower it.

Basically the higher the number (ie: 50)the more the wheel is pulled in towards the center of the car. The lower the number (ie: 35) the more it is pushed out from the wheel wells (aka low ride look).

If you don't want the wheels/tires to rub your fenders you need a 42-44mm offset for a Civic.

Also tires for a 16x7" wheel on a Civic (92-00) would be 205/45x16" to keep the odometer and speedo accurate.

i wasnt sure of the size off the offset of the rims i have so i looked it up and it is "15/35/45". When i look at that number, all i see is "kjasdkasdiashd"
is that ok for a civic??
