I noticed on my 2.9 Ranger that the vacuum line (?) that runs from the fuel pressure regulator over to the intake had melted off. I stuck a piece of washer hose on there, will this be o.k. or should I find the right part, which is smaller in actual diameter?

Thanks

Weird.

Just as long as you don't have fuel in the line, and it doesn't leak, it should be ok. If it conserns you, test the fuel pressure. If it's over 40 psi, you'll get terrible gas mileage. In that case you'll need to get the correct vaccum line.
