I was checking the thermostat of my 93 accord ex and when I took off the intake hose to get to the thermostat I noticed some oil in the intake manifold hole. I rubbed my finger around the inner edge of it and noticed it was a quite a bit of oil. Why is there oil in my intake manifold?

Could be coming from your PCV hose due to exceessive blow-by. How many miles on the engine?

About 160,000 miles. What would cause the excessive blow by?

Engine is starting to wear out. Might need to look to a heavier oil.

what do u use now? 5-30/10-30? then go to 10-40 or 20-50. if u live in a cold area then 20-50 might be too thick.

oh yea excessive blow by is caused by worn rings. gonna be expensive to replace that cuz u gotta rip apart the engine to get to it. might as well rebuild engine.

Is this something to worry about or will it last operating like that for sometime? If so estimation on how long, please? I wanna drop a H22a in but have to save up some cash before hand. So All I need is time.
