Identifying a Diablo SVjohnve 01-05-2005, 03:28 PM I am trying to identify a picture that I have of a Diablo SV. It is a deep red color with a large, silver 'SV' scripted on the side. It seems to be a 1999, but it has triple rear brake vents just behind the doors. The vents look like shark gills and look like the vents I've seen on the '99 VT. Can anyone help me? No-Murci 01-05-2005, 08:09 PM I'm confused, what are you trying to identify with it?? You said its definately an SV and you think its a 99? What more is there? Pics would probably be helpful in any case! LT1MAN 01-06-2005, 12:21 PM :useless: johnve 01-06-2005, 02:41 PM I will attempt to attach a picture. Is it a production car or is it a show car. Though a suppose "production" is meaningless for a Diablo. Thanks. tanner07 01-06-2005, 05:12 PM 'Tis no '99, as they did not have pop up headlights. It's a 1995-1998. No-Murci 01-06-2005, 06:53 PM yes, I saw a 98 that was black but looked identical! My guess would be a 98, but its probably hard to tell. NewyorkKopter 01-08-2005, 08:33 AM The 1998 Diablo SV is my favorite car, this is definetly a Monterey Diablo SV, no doubt . B/c remeber how they had those awesome pop-ups, SE30 style intake slits in front of the rear wheels, were painted in unique colors, but still had all the SV parts. :smokin: 993cc 01-08-2005, 12:26 PM The SV (including the Monterey version) was built from 1995 to 99. Pop-up lights were replaced with fixed type with the redesigned 2000 Diablo 6.0 under Audi management. http://www.lamborghiniregistry.com/ has all the details about all Lamborghini models allanlambo 01-12-2005, 08:59 PM That is a 98 Monterey SV. Also, in 99 the SV had fixed lights. 993cc 01-13-2005, 06:36 AM That is a 98 Monterey SV. Also, in 99 the SV had fixed lights. You're correct, my mistake. Also I see that some euro-spec '98 SVs have fixed lights but these could have been redone later. Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
