Well to be honest with you, you might have better luck in a Dodge Dakota forum. Not one for Firebirds. But in regards to your question.. sounds to me like it might be the starter. New ones can put a hefty hole in your wallet.. but you can try your luck at a local junkyard, or even eBay at that.

first is the motor turning at all if it is, is there spark fuel, fuel press need more info to tell more ("Well to be honest with you, you might have better luck in a Dodge Dakota forum. Not one for Firebirds.") this is probably true though

does it crank? does it have spark? do you have gas in the tank? have you ever done an oil change? is it cold out? how many km's? anything replaced recently?

i could go on and on. but i wont.

Hey Jim, the spark, gas and oil has been checked.
The battery is at full charge.
But it won't even try to kick over.
Not a click nor a crank.
The diagnostic code is 12 which says that the battery has been replaced. And the original diagnostic code won't come up.
How can I tell if it's the starter or the ignition?
Please help.
My Dad has been taking the bus to work.
I just started a new job and can't take him.
He lives on the other side of town.

Thanks

Daniel
