2001 voltage and rpms drop and stallbleeds green 01-04-2005, 01:51 PM I have a 2001 1500 with about 120,000km on it. Lately when slowing down for intersections or parking the voltage and rpms are dropping and sometimes stalling. As soon as I come to a complete stop they go right back up to where they should be. When it does stall it always starts right back up. One other thing I have noticed is a loss in gas milage and this might be part of it but am not sure. Any sugguestions or hints would be appriciated. I did read one other problem on here like this and it was the pick up coil and haven't had a chance to check mine yet. Thanks. kenny-1907 01-04-2005, 03:08 PM After 120,000 km , what kind of maintanence have you done? When did you last change fuel filter, spark plugs AND wires, a good cleaning of the TB and the IAC are a good idea and i think that may be the cause of your idle drop and stalling. The fuel mileage decrease could be a result of needing a tune up. As for a pickup coil , i do not know if these trucks with the coil packs have one or not , i am not entirely sure. Just a thought and a few places to start. bleeds green 01-06-2005, 01:00 PM What is the IAC?
