Does anyone have pictures of a yellow F1??Joey Stockholm 01-04-2005, 07:35 AM I remember I saw a small picture from the factory showing the McLaren assemblyline (? spelling)... And in the background there was a yellow car, I would love to see some more pictures of that car! hurstg01 01-04-2005, 09:59 AM do a search on google, i found http://eurotuned.com/bmw/images/McLaren/BMW_Powered_McLaren_F1_yellow.jpg http://blackeye.idv.tw/misc/McLaren/McLaren-1.JPG Peloton25 01-04-2005, 12:33 PM The first picture he shared is the car you saw in the background of that video. It's not a real F1 - it's actually the Clinic Model - a non-running prototype that was built for McLaren by an outside company. It was used at the unveiling and for different press events before the first real F1s were completed. It began life painted a familiar silver color, was painted burgundy at one point and then was later painted that yellow color to help a customer decide if that was the color they wanted their real F1 to be. It may have also been painted blue at one point, but I have only heard rumor of that and have never seen any real photos. There were two real F1s that were actually painted yellow. I'm sure some people will share those photos as well. Incidentally, the second photo he posted is an unidentified F1 in Japan. >8^) ER vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
