Buying A 96 Sierra Z-71

I am hoping to buy a 1996 Sierra Z-71 in the near future, and I was wondering if there are any concurrent problems that come along with the GMC's. I currently have a Mazda pickup that I am trading in on it. It has 126,000 miles on it, and the guy who I am buying from kept good care of the engine and body, and nothing seems to be wrong with it.

Just trying to get an idea on any problems with a engine with 126,000 miles on it.

Thanks!

Look for coolant leaks under the truck, and listen for piston slap on COLD start-up.

As far as I know there werent any leaks under the truck when I looked, about 5 minutes after we got back from driving it. What would be the cause of that problem?

intake gaskets on them trucks are bad about leaking but that dont make the truck bad at all changed mine and wouldnt trade the truck for nothing

Thanks all! I bought the truck tonight; traded my other Mazda in. I hope this truck gives me fewer problems than the Mazda did. But even for 126,000 miles, the GMC looks as if it was taken care of well by the owner who I bought it from.
