Yamaha R1 Customsportracer02 01-02-2005, 01:45 AM Hi, this is my Tamiya Yamaha R1 (1:12) with some modifications: the upper front body with the 2 lights is lowered, a spoiler chin at the lower body panel added. Steering bar is made of a metal rod, the bike is just for the driver (no passenger), the rear of the seat bench is custom made. http://www.arcor.de/palb/alben/28/1077928/3465656435303339.jpg http://www.arcor.de/palb/alben/28/1077928/6135376234383131.jpg Micha JTRACING 01-02-2005, 02:23 AM Wow like it!!, its got the street fighter look! DukeMan 01-02-2005, 05:50 AM First time ever I see someone mod a bike like that, finally. I told my friend he should do something streetfightish with his R1. I´m not sure about the lowered nosecone but the rest of the bike and the paint looks absolutley flawless, good job. /Fredrik joelwideqvist 01-02-2005, 09:40 AM Micha! I love the work you've done on rims and tires, tires have a beautiful worn look. Interesting wok over all and as Fredrik sais one of the most tuned bikes I've seen. I think the muffler reaches too far back and I'm not too fond of the yellow engine block though...but cool of you to try something new. best regards Joel - who's also working on a tuned R1, get back to you on that one Jurva 01-02-2005, 09:44 AM I like that aggressive look! Vric 01-02-2005, 09:59 AM Quite orriginal ! Never seen a Tuner Bike here before look really good Bas Carwash 01-02-2005, 10:11 AM Color combo is great, and the exhaust look stunning, but I'm not feeling the bodywork. Looks a bit overdone to me. Anyways, good job. ol' dude 01-02-2005, 10:43 AM Great colors!!!! Very street-fighter looking!! Too cool!!!!!!!! sportracer02 01-02-2005, 10:47 AM Hi, @ joelwideqvist yes, concerning the muffler you are right. If I did this model today, it would be shorter or under the bench. Concerning the colour of the engine: I was inspired be some streetfighter magazines. @ all: thanks for your replies !! Micha racer917 01-02-2005, 10:42 PM ok, I'll be the first one to say it. It doesn't look right. With only the lower body panel the bike looks incomplete, the yellow engine looks like a toy, the exhaust looks out of scale and the nosecone looks like it's falling off. Just my two cents. ChopinPorkChop 01-02-2005, 11:14 PM mmm its alright.. a little bit too much for me but definately a good build cpc mike united 01-02-2005, 11:26 PM I've never built a bike, i really like your build though, its kinda mean looking.....GRRRRRRR !!! Mike :smokin: Wheelin75r 01-03-2005, 04:18 AM I love these naked-bike conversions, great job man!!
