First 2005 WIP: Integra Type R "Spoon Dragon"SkylineFan 01-01-2005, 10:11 PM Well guys Happy New Year and this brings me to my first WIP. I am dodging time between moving to work on something!!!! This is the Revell Integra Type R kit with a SAS (Scale Auto Style) Resin Conversion kit. I am thinking about spooning the car with gloss black rims, but also adding a SAS rear CF wing which is not commonly found on Spoon integras I believe. The paint is VERDE ITHACA PEARL from Cobra Colors. I ordered this from Leon for my Murcielago I won off ebay. Leon got the paint here real quick and I was dying to try it out and get familiar with the application process and I figured this would be a great test mule. PICTURES DO NOT DO THIS PAINT JUSTICE!!! Hats off to leon for a spectacular product ORDER PAINT FROM him if you have not already... even if you dont do a Lambo, this paint is great for tuners as well!!!! The dragon in the pic is a decal I made from the testors decal kit you can get at wally world..... Hence the name Spoon dragon.... What do you guys think?? Black wheels or chrome??? The hood is painted gunmetal ready for CF decal and clear......give your opinions please..... Mike  MidMazar 01-01-2005, 11:23 PM looking good so far, not feeling the dragon though SkylineFan 01-01-2005, 11:33 PM Looks Cool. I'd go with some Gunmetal center and chrome lip. I believe your side skirts are the wrong way :screwy: I personally like the skirts this way.... I think the dragon makes it, after all it is a Japanese import. SupaMan89T 01-01-2005, 11:47 PM hey ive seen those decals somewheres you got the testors decal maker! :) lookin great man! I'll follow this one. Even if it was just because of the color. And because it's a Honda. And because I know it's gonna be as awesome as your Skyline!! (I would go for the chrome rims) SkylineFan 01-03-2005, 11:31 PM Update tonight, I added a SAS GT wing. I chose the short pedestals, Painted them Semi flat black along with the wing ends.... Hats off to Chris from SAS, this is one hell of a kit. The wing itself was covered in CF and buried in clear!!!!! This car is definitely taking on the NFSU2 look.... I like ricers what can I say???? http://images7.fotki.com/v134/photos/3/335511/1677433/DSCF1976-vi.jpg http://images7.fotki.com/v133/photos/3/335511/1677433/DSCF1980-vi.jpg http://images7.fotki.com/v136/photos/3/335511/1677433/DSCF1982-vi.jpg Feint Motion 01-04-2005, 12:13 AM Nice! The CF hood is perfect. Black wheels match it well. SupaMan89T 01-04-2005, 12:19 AM if you like ricers lemmie have that sweet r34 ;) NOMADGAMER 01-04-2005, 12:47 AM your teg looks hot, and nothing agains SAS, but i think the blitz kit doesnt flow well with any integra, my friend has the real deal gsr, and i dislike the blitz front. also, mad props on the side skirts, they look different, and thats tight how you flipped them. about how much USD shipped did that SAS Kit run you? SkylineFan 01-04-2005, 08:30 AM if you like ricers lemmie have that sweet r34 ;) Sorry Man!!!! its already sold!! The blitz kit from SAS ran me about 20.00 USD with shipping.... Highly reccomended. Dave itrgtr 01-04-2005, 01:22 PM wow, great work, this is coming along very nicely MidMazar 01-04-2005, 01:27 PM looks great man, the wing fits it well, did you only use one piece of carbon to cover the whole hood? SkylineFan 01-04-2005, 01:35 PM looks great man, the wing fits it well, did you only use one piece of carbon to cover the whole hood? Thank you... Yes only one piece of CF was used. flyonthewall 01-04-2005, 02:56 PM Lookin real nice! SkylineFan 01-06-2005, 09:21 PM Looking real neat. Not into the whole look period but the model is awesome. So, when are you going to build a "official" Spoon Sports Integra. With some black SW-388's  With all the Negative camber like the one in your sig?? Uninen 01-07-2005, 07:10 AM That Teg is simply awesome! And I just can't believe U made the hood CF decal out of one piece! I have that same bodykit and the scoop is quite high. When I made a CF hood on my 300ZX (has an Evo VI scoop on it) I had to make it a two piece set - and still isn't goodlooking. What CF decal did U use? crisjr 01-07-2005, 09:26 AM Great work!!.. i just used another color for wheels.. .. hood is perfect.. and the color fits very well!! Cris tonioseven 01-07-2005, 12:22 PM I'm lovin' it!!!:sunglasse Your build quality is consistently awesome on your kits!! Keep up the great work! :grinyes: I like the black wheels myself! Cobra Colors 01-08-2005, 08:56 AM Nice work Dave! The finish looks great. Looking forward to seeing it completed. SkylineFan 01-09-2005, 10:52 AM :nono: I think you took it the wrong way. No need to come up like that with me, if you would've followed my thread you would've known why the car sits like that (Also it's not a Spoon Integra). I was just trying to bring a good feeling towards building an Integra. Or were you trying to be funny? :( :thumbsdow Back on subject: I think your Integra Type R sticker by the door is sitting a bit low. Just noticed that. :crying: Did I hit a nerve?? Sorry I am not the "spoon" expert like yourself.... :grinno: SkylineFan 01-09-2005, 10:53 AM Nice work Dave! The finish looks great. Looking forward to seeing it completed. Thanks Leon.... the paint speaks for itself!!! robrex 01-09-2005, 05:02 PM I love it! The black rims look awesome again! SkylineFan 01-24-2005, 12:17 AM I love it! The black rims look awesome again! Thanks Rob New update on this one tonight. I scratch built a big Auto meter Tach and shift light to round out the Tuner look. As you can see the interior is going to be Black with Lime green center inserts. I plan on adding racing belts to both fronts seats and flocking for carpet soon. http://images8.fotki.com/v145/photos/3/335511/1677433/DSCF2039-vi.jpg http://images7.fotki.com/v141/photos/3/335511/1677433/DSCF2040-vi.jpg Here is one last pic mocked up of the stance this thing is gonna have..... http://images7.fotki.com/v144/photos/3/335511/1677433/DSCF2038-vi.jpg GvEman 01-24-2005, 02:44 AM looks good dude! i love the tacometer you have built! have you printed the decal al by your self? SkylineFan 01-24-2005, 09:23 AM looks good dude! i love the tacometer you have built! have you printed the decal al by your self? Yes I did right off an auto meter web site. Sized it and printed on white decal paper..... Thanks!!! Dave Porsche Carrera 01-24-2005, 12:34 PM awesome! somehow looking at your integra reminds me of the SEMA show... :smokin: freakmech 01-24-2005, 01:24 PM As much as i hate the Honda/Acura scene this car is looking really good. very good custom work, original. nice color scheme through out. keep it up! JTRACING 01-24-2005, 04:00 PM Great job on this one !! that tach is sweet! tonioseven 01-24-2005, 05:00 PM This Acura is one of the best I've seen to date!!:sunglasse MidMazar 01-24-2005, 09:29 PM Gotta say, even though i don't like the dragon everything else is perfect, love the tuner look you gave it, one question, the tach is made out of aluminum rods? Also are the numbers and needle a decal? SkylineFan 01-24-2005, 09:43 PM Gotta say, even though i don't like the dragon everything else is perfect, love the tuner look you gave it, one question, the tach is made out of aluminum rods? Also are the numbers and needle a decal? Thanks guys!! Midmazar... the dragon was really an experiment that went wild!! :screwy: The tach is made out of thick plastic tubing filled in each end with Tamiya epoxy putty, sanded smooth. The shift light is simply smaller solid plastic tubing. The ring around the tach itself is .010 plastic strip. The gauge face is from the Auto meter gauge site. I simply printed it out after sizing it on white decal film. Then several coats if future were applied. IT aint the greatest but it will do.. I was worried the damn thing was too big to clear the windshield! :evillol: The entire assembly was sprayed with tamiya silver leaf, the finest paint to represent aluminum around IMO. DaveT sneiser 01-24-2005, 09:58 PM the tach looks great man .... not my style but it looks good so far ... only think ... wheres spoon coming into play? rx7king 01-25-2005, 10:01 PM ive missed this one, looks awesome, really clean with lots of style :sunglasse SkylineFan 01-25-2005, 11:50 PM the tach looks great man .... not my style but it looks good so far ... only think ... wheres spoon coming into play? Needs a strut bar and Radiator assembly and the engine is done!! I added clamps to the induction air pipe, plug wires,CF to the valve cover painted clear blue and various details... I think it blends with the car nicely :) Also added heat staining to the chrome painted exhaust. http://images6.fotki.com/v95/photos/3/335511/1677433/dscf20712-vi.jpg http://images6.fotki.com/v91/photos/3/335511/1677433/DSCF2072-vi.jpg MidMazar 01-28-2005, 01:06 AM awesome detail, where did you attach the seatbelts? rx7king 01-28-2005, 01:14 AM wow, that engine and bay is so cool, i love the valve cover, unique! robrex 01-28-2005, 03:25 AM Great engine details.
