What do recomend for that criteria.

6 cylinder, under 2900lbs. I would prefer RWD, but Front is ok to.

Basically i want a lightweight, small car with good handling and a big engine for it's weight. Not to many out there.

Lol, my next car was gonna be either a mid 90's camaro or firebird, but honestly, i like smaller cars. I'm sick of V8's, especially the way they eat gas. So i'm willing to trader some torque for a lighter car etc.

I was thinking maxima, but i want a smaller, and lighter car then that.

Sizewise like a sentra, or ford escort you know.

E36 BMW 3-Series, all except the 318s. Great cars

e30 as well, but they aren't exactly mid 90s

what about a volvo. Aren't they about 2900 lbs in sedan trim?

Just a thought, but would you consider a Toyota MR2 or the new MR-S? They are rear wheel drive, and I believe they are lighter than 2900 lbs and I know they have excellent handling. But I honestly don't know how many cylinders they have...

MR2s have 4 cylinders theres also a turbo model but they cost alot / They dont have any MRS turbos.

Yeah i might have to go 4cyl again. Those mr2's are nice, i always loved acura legends also.

I wish nissan put that 3.0 6 in a sentra, that would be fast for it's weight. Maybe it's cause i drove smaller cars the past 3 years, i got used to them. But they are so much more enjoyable to drive...AND PARK lol.

Another thing, if i got a camaro or firebird, i'd have every a-hole wanting to race me, they get to much attention. The 95 v8 tbird i got now is nice, but i'm sick of it, even after 7 months, i don't like coupes that sit you like a cockpit either. I'm into those bench style seats.

Another car i was looking at, is a 92 Z34 chevy lumina, it's to heavy though (over 3200) but has a good 3.4 with 210 hp. Nice rare car. If i can find a turbo 4, small, under 2900, hell even lighter, i'm gonna do my research and buy one eventually.

Thanks guys..

i would say a 89-91 Mazda RX7 turbo
200HP and weight like 2700 lbs
BTW RX7 are rev-happy they like to be redlined.

Those rx7's are hard finds though, another car thats good is a 94 ford escort GT. Weighs just under 2400lbs, 1.8 mazda engine putting out 127hp. I'd get the manual definetly, those cars sell for like 3K at under 100k miles.

Still though, i cannot find many cars that are small, with a 6 cyl.
