Freeze Plugs (?)mjfdesigns 01-01-2005, 01:54 PM Hello and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I have a 1992 Blazer 4.3 TB. I lent it to my mom while her car was in the shop. The temp here droped to about 3 degrees a couple days before I got it back. When I started it up it started fine and ran fine. On the way home it started to miss. While backing into my drive, it stalled 3 times. When I finally got it parked there was water coming out of the passenger side of the engine. My question is this: Are there freeze plugs on both sides of the block? Is it hard to get to them? Thanks in advance. - Mike - Mike tom3 01-01-2005, 10:11 PM Yes there are plugs on both sides, although it's pretty uncommon for them to leak on a fairly late model. Have to crawl under there and take a close look to be sure where the leak is. OverBoardProject 01-02-2005, 01:55 AM I sure hope that the frost plugs are easier to change on the 4.3L than on the 2.8L did you test your coolant level lately? I sure hope that you didn't crack the block, or something with a iced up motor. Good luck, and a happy new year back at you vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
