93-03 mustang cobra, 93-98 supra turbo, 97-03 vette,90-03 acura nsx well just one car, and why?. Me i would chose the supra. the supra has better resale, looks better imo than most new cars.the motors are stout for how small they are. turbo cars are fun.
My opinoin.

Vette because it has power AND handling, something that none of those other cars has both of.

I'm really torn between an 03 Mustang Cobra and an 03 ZO6 Corvette. I've heard so many positive reviews and stories about the Cobra that I'd kill for one. Who though, wouldn't want the most well known car in the world, the Corvette? It has sexy looks and a stout engine which makes a great package.

I'd go with the 03 Mustang Cobra here. They're insanely fast from the factory and respond well to just about any mod you put on it. I think it's probably the best bang for the buck here. I've also heard Cobra's have more potential than most cars.

I would take the supra...Not the fastest out of those...But still a fast car...I love the targa top and the way it looks...Some like to mod them, I would leave it stock...

hmmmm.... its hard for me between supra and NSX - supra i love the engine but not the handling...NSX i love the handling but not the engine...

modding a supra is way easier and more cost effective plus supras are cheaper (where i live anyways) and cheaper to work on wich is more important seeing the car is free. so i guess i would have to take the supra... 6 speed of course

Did they actually offer a fixed-roof Supra coupe elsewhere? I am pretty certain that here in the states every Supra MkIV (and MkIII for that matter) was a targa car.

I'd take the NSX. Even when its a Honda, its one of the best japanese supercars out there (if price was not a factor, that is). I'll then spend $9000 (about the price of a decent, second-hand car) for the Veilside/Maisty bodykit, which I think looks awesome. Lambo doors too. Chicks will think its a Lamborgini :evillol:

03 cobra-its so easy and cheap to mod. Next in line is the Z06.Power, and handling

I'd take the Supra Turbo. Theres just so much potential in those cars. Plus I think its the best looking Japanese car ever built.

Well between the choices I would take a 03 Cobra. Ridiculiosly modable stock powerplant and I'm just a Mustang guy.

You said Vette which is not Z06 so I figure that is out. If 03 Z06 was a choice I would have to take the Z06 over the Cobra as the Z06 is the complete badass package unlike the normal C6 in imo.

Mustang.

Only because its worth so much more over here, about 3 times its real value.
I could sell it, but a large down payment on a house and then buy a used Jap import NSX or Supra.

All mk4 Turbo supras had a targa...Well...There is a few with hard tops but i think it was a deleation option that no one got? On the non turbo mk4's it was a option...As for mk3s it was a option on all models... Not standard...Most have targa tops (MK3'S)...And most mk4's have targa tops also...

......i would take the NSX.
as most of you might've noticed, i'm a bit into the history of things and well, the NSX is an important car.

it's not the fastest, or the cheapest but most people will agree that it is a car with near perfect, almost legendary set-up.
it was also the car to kick the supercar makers (i.e ferrari....) into stepping up a gear and showed what you can do with less power but good handling.

add to that, the nasty rumours that Honda aren't going to make a successor and the reasons for me to want one have gone up by one.

i want one.
but um.... not that nasty read that honda use...
i want it in ferrari red!

The Mustang is out for me. They handle like a pig and are built around straight line performance. They are rather heavy and I never cared much for the looks of that generation of Mustang. They are also a big "me too" car.

The Corvette is also out for me. It is a "me too" car like the Mustang. I should say that it is rarer than a Mustang but I still see plenty of them on the road. While they do have descent cornering ability the styling is too plain and the interior is just too cheap.

The NSX is way out. Sorry, but the tame supercar idea didn't work Honda. It was an overpriced, underperforming, sports car in my opinion. I know this is about getting one for free but there just isn't much room to get a whole lot of power from the engine like the other three which have rock solid bottom ends. Even though the NSX has superb handling I would have to turn it down.

That leaves the Supra. I am one that prefers unique cars and I have seen only one Supra of that generation around here and I've seen it a total of three times. They look fantastic and the fit and finish isn't that bad either. The engine is rock solid and can take gobs of power. They are a bit on the heavy side like the Mustang, but unlike the Mastang they can be made to handle.

The Supra takes it for me. I wouldn't ever plan to take the Mustang or the NSX but the Corvette wasn't too far behind the Supra in my book.

toss up between the NSX and the vette for me. Both extremely good track cars that handle quite well. The nsx has better handling and braking and is a little more exotic but the vette would be far cheaper to upgrade and turn it into a damn near super car.
if it where a z06 it would easily be the vette though. :)

Can we ad skyline to the list! if not then NSX because of the mid engine design and the sexy sleek exterior. Plus they can hold there own on the track! lol

The Corvette is also out for me. It is a "me too" car like the Mustang.
If there’s one car that doesn’t come under the "me too" category it would be the Vette. My reasoning?
Well the Corvette is not a "me too" car because it has years of history to back it up. Why would an already well-established performance marque need to say "me too"? It’s already carved itself a niche in the sports car market.

Hardly ever see the Mustang here. We have plenty of Supras, Skylines and so forth but few Mustangs. The NSX is a rare sight but the C5 Vette is even rarer.
If I see another Corvette of any year on the road, the chances are I know the driver.

BTW
Apparently Mustangs can be made to handle just as easily as a Supra. If you live in the US it should in fact be much cheaper to mod a Mustang for handling then a Supra.
Most of the Supras weight problem is related to the engine. The price you pay for a strong engine is weight.

That is not what I mean by a "me too" car. What I meant is that it is a common car around here as far as sports cars go. I see droves of Mustangs and Camaros. I also see quite a few C5 Vettes.

That is indicative of where you live. Perhaps if I lived in your area my opinion would be different. However, like I said, there are a lot of Mustangs, Camaros, and C5 Vettes around here. I like the more unique choice. Also, the C5 is just too plain for my taste. If I went with a Vette it would have to be a mid 60s or a 70s Vette.

The Mustang is a pig as well in the weight department and from what I know has a solid rear axle except for the 2004 SVT Cobra. Mustangs have never been known for good handling.

I think the Vette regardless of the fact that it's not a ZO6 is a great choice...just make mine the hardtop kind.

01-03-2005, 02:29 PM
yeah I also don't like how the mustang cobras look almost exactly like the V6 and GT counterparts. Why not give it a different body or something to set it apart as a better car. No, it is just slightly lowered, has a functional hood scoop and has a Cobra name instead of a mustang. I would never choose the mustang, it's doesn't handle well and thus not a true sports car but just a pony car meant to go in a straight line. Sure it has the IRS's and not solid rear axles, but it doesn't compare to the vettes, NSX's, or supra's handling. I also see a mustang every damn day, literaly I see one every mile. My friend has a silver mustang, and literaly I point out every 5 minutes "hey, there's your twin, a silver mustang." There are assloads of mustangs here in America, and since everyone has one, it's just not special.

I would pick the NSX, even though it is underpowered, it's exotic as hell looking, the best resale value (hey it is for free), incredible handling, as well as the most classy and exotic out of all the choices. It's free, so why not choose the NSX. The Vette is the fastest, but cheap interior + common car (I see one everyday as well) isn't my choice. Supra is a nice car but doesn't compare to the NSX. Now if I had to pay my own personal money, I'd take the Supra.

I don't know if I would say that the NSX has good resell value. You pay about $90,000 for one new. Now you can't sell it for more than $40,000 - $50,000. That isn't what I would call good resell.

I'd take whichever one I could sell for the most money..that'd probably be the NSX? I'd take that one...sell it...buy a used 04 cobra and mod it. Mm.

I'll take the Corvette. I would rather have a Z06, but since you didn't list the Z06 as a choice I'll assume you just meant normal C5s in which case make mine Torch Red with red interior and the Z51 package. After that I'd take an NSX I mean for free why not.

2003 10th Anniversary SVT Cobra please. Silver with black leather interior. Mmmmmmm, sweeeeeeeeeeet

My first thought was for the Supra, simply because they're so rare these days. But the Cobra is a monter! (almost traded in my Z28 last spring for the one just mentioned).

so where's the love for the nsx? Think how many people are running Supras, vettes and, mustangs. You'd just blend into the automotive landscape. Now how many NSX owners do you know? I'll bet it's not many. Dare to be different folks, that's what i'd do. BEsides, what could be better than a screaming vtec mounted right behind your head?
