Any one else have this problem while driving. Seems to do it worse when the weather is cold. It's a 99 blazer by the way. Any fixes??

I have the same problem when its really cold. Go to your local autoparts store and gets some silicone spray and spray down the weather stripping. Also lube up the alignment pin where the window secures. I find that during the winter I need to lube it once a week to get rid of the noise.

or you could back into a tree.......well ok that only partly fixes the squeak. Yep putting a dent into the abck of my hatche due to my rear tire stopepd the squeaking for a couple weeks but then for some damn reason it was back. Oh well guess I'll lvie with it. seems like troo much work what ur explaining swalt to do it every week I would forget or soemthing.

I'm somewhat anal about squeaks, creaks, and rattles. Makes me wonder why I bought a Blazer sometimes. For the most part, I have been able to get rid of most of the squeaks with two way tapes/foam etc on various panels. The 15 seconds to pull the can of spray out the back and spray the seal is nothing. Gives you something to do while waiting for the truck to warm up.

yea but I am kinda lazy and when I start my blazer I want to go soemwher. When it warms up does not concern me but I do have the TBI where if I ahd the CPI maybe I would wait than. My last vehicle was a carberator and I ahd no choice but to wait. But with the TBI I start and go.

why does it matter which injection you have(tbi vs. cpi)?
I understand if your carbed, but as a rule of thumb you should let it run for a short bit before driving.

my understanding is that the CPI works similar to a carberator. isn't that what the C is? I may be wrong never did full research on it. but when I had a carberator vehicle when i went to leave right away it would stall out due to not being warmed up. it wasn't getting the right mixture or something I believe. now granted it was a ford escort hatchback which is a lot different than a chevy blazer.

Vasoline Thin coat on the rubber gaskets will fix it for some time

If you coat all your seals with armour all or something simaliar it will help with squeaks and also keep your doors from freezing shut in cold weather.

I thought the Armor All would dry rot the rubber seals quicker?

Two problems I've had with Blazers, lower hinges and the window latch itself. Put a good shot of oil on those lower hinges a couple times helps that, a small dab of grease on the little bar that latches at the bottom of the glass will stop that from grating. I was about ready to weld my tail gate to the body to stop that hinge squeek, nasty one there.

The worst noise I have had so far was the cover for the jack compartment which has the rolling cargo cover included. It is currently just laying in the back of the blazer. Got any ideas on how to stop that one? I was thinking of putting felt around the inside and on the rubber feet.

i had the same problem until the rear lift supports went out completely. i replaced them for about $ 30 and now it doesn't make any noise at all

Is it a metallic squeak or a rubber squeak?
