Hi there, I have a 95 Mercury Tracer (exactly the same as Escort.) I couldn't get the key out, and couldn't turn it. I bought a replacement cylinder, but I can't seem to figure out how to get the old one off. I tried removing the whole steering column from the car and everything, but I can't drill or drive out the pins. Help me please....

You shouldn't have to remove the whole steering column. You should read the service manual before attempting to remove an ignition cylinder because they are tricky and usually not easy to remove without knowing the steps.

Oh... yea I know. One guy told me to hacksaw the pins. I might try that. Others have had my same experience. Thanks.
