car died tonite on me at a stop light, its been doin it for a while, we think its hte EGR valve but havnt gotten around to get it fixed cuz i cant find a good manual to help me with it, but heres wat the symtoms are, when i am at a complete stop and press the gas the rpms will drop real low and try to die on me but itll keep goin it did it for about 5 stop lights cuz i would lightly press the gas but then on the last one it just died on me and it will make the normal noises when i try to start it but it just wont kick over it came close once but i stopped to soon and it didnt start so im gonan get it towed and work on it, but does it sound liek the egr? we got some of the gas spray to see if maybe it would start but it didnt seem liek it was the fuel pump, anyone have any ideas?

Not much experience on stanza, change the spark plugs and wires. Do you smell gas? When you turn the key to the ON position you should hear the fuel pump going for a couple of seconds. Check air filter. Has the car been well maintained?

When has the last time the plugs, cap and rotor have been changed? Pull one out and look to see if its fouled. Scheduled maintence is very important, I had a problem similar to yours, go to your local auto parts store and get a haynes manual. (16.99$)

hey thx tonite i just changed the head and there was a little oil inside of it so that may have been the problem because i had a stripped screw right on that corner on my valve cover so i think we may have fixed it but well have to see to bad we had to use silicon as a seal tho messy as hell but i appreciate your reply, thanks
