I'd like to know what my silv runs 0-60 andnfg2184 12-28-2004, 07:10 PM I just bought a truck a week ago from my uncle, a 97 Chevy Silverado 1500. It's raised up what looks to me about 6-8 inches. It has a 5.7L V8 (the engine is completely rebuilt, but with stock cams and pistons, has nearly 300 miles on it), a Flowmaster exhaust, performance header (not sure what brand), a performance chip, a shift kit, a K&N airbox, and some bigger tires (not sure the exact size). It feels relatively fast, but I definately don't want to push it much with only 300 miles on the rebuild. I wanna know what my 1/4 mile and 0-60 times would be, what the stock horsepower is on the 5.7L engines, and approx. numbers of what my hp is with the bolt-ons. Also, what kind of gains would I see in the 1/4 and 0-60 with a supercharger? Thanks for reading. chevytrucks92 12-29-2004, 12:04 AM The 97 Vortec 350 had 255 hp and 335 lbs-tq stock, and (according to magazines) runs very close to the newer Silveardos with the 5.3 Vortecs. All of yoru bolt ons would probably add up to maybe 20-25 whp (the headers would give you the biggest gains). Now if you coudl do a cam swap, then you coudl get some really big gains. tirefryer93 01-19-2005, 12:00 AM Buy a g-tech meter, and receive loads of information and fun. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
