I have a 2000 EXT cab Z71 silverado with the 5.3. In the summer it shifts fine, but now that it is cold out it takes a while to shift. I can let it warm up for about 5 minutes and it will still do it. Once the RPM's get high enough it will eventually shift but it seems like it should have done it sooner. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Steve

Mine does this, I think I read this in the owners manual somewhere. The computer raises the shifting points to higher rpm's when its cold to help warm the engin up more. And once the engin is warm, it goes back to normal. Im not sure if this is completly acurate, but I rembere reading something like that in the manual. It makes sense to me.
