Have question for everyone.Johnowens8880 12-27-2004, 07:03 PM O.K. I recently posted a thread titled "please help, car wont start". Had trouble with car starting and when it did start it gave me a code of P0301 cyl. 1 missfire. Then car went dead,so i jump started car and car ran fine. Went out 2 days later to start it and got nothing. i changed the plugs in it before the 2 days thou. Also noticed the little green light my battery has was not on. When i jump the car it takes a little bit but it starts and runs fine. Also noticed loud ticking from number 1 fuel injector. I was wondering if the combo of having a bad battery and the noisy fuel injector would cause this prob. Thanks John GTP Dad 12-28-2004, 06:46 AM It is doubtful that the ticking injector caused the problem although a low battery condition can cause the engine to misfire. I would believe that the injector is sticking and not giving the cylinder the proper amount of fuel. Try a bottle of fuel injector cleaner, the good stuff, and see if the misfire goes away. If not consider purchasing a new injector to replace the one on #1 cylinder. Johnowens8880 12-28-2004, 02:00 PM Thanks GTP Dad. With the battery condition being low would that cause a no start prob.? kustomkid54 12-28-2004, 03:28 PM Johnowens8880 12-28-2004, 06:32 PM That is what I was hoping.
