How many miles? moonshaes 03-07-2002, 03:47 PM Originally posted by Tireburner After battery disconnection, does it come on immediately, or does it take a while? What motor? How many miles? After battery disconnection and reconnection the engine light lights up immediately,,,, The engine is a V6 ?L forgot the displacement,,,will look again when i take my break (im at work :( ) It has 120,000+ miles. Tireburner 03-11-2002, 09:13 AM Unfortunately, if it is immediate, something has failed completely. You can either continue to replace parts until you find it, or your other options are: Go to Joes garage (not the dealer) and pay him to retrieve the codes or Buy a scanner from your local auto parts, and do it yourself. I have even heard that some auto parts stores are doing it for free, or will just rent you the tool. Having a scan tool for your vehicle is priceless. It will save you many headaches, and costly repairs. moonshaes 03-11-2002, 03:41 PM Thank you for your help.... I will go and see if I can get a scanner...wish me luck...(I need all the luck I can get.... :D ) Calico 05-23-2002, 05:54 PM Go to Autozone. Have the nice guy behind the counter pull out his code-checking gizmo. They do this for free and they will tell you exactly what component is failing. If you ask them, they will then give you a price for a replacement part. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
