internal upgrades

what kind of internals should i upgrade to get my b18 ready for boost 1990 integra.

Varies depending on how much boost you'll be running, type of engine, and miles on the engine. Which B18 is it?

I sent my block to eagle and they sleeved it for me, i ended up spending about $3500 for my bottom end assembled and balanced...pistons rods sleeves etc.

Pistons (Any brand meant for boost), rods (Eagle, Wiesco, Pauter), ARP head studs, and a new water pump and timing belt. I suggest staying at or under 14psi until you get the block sleeved.

ls motor good for 300whp. just fix any problems with it now and it will be all good

Stock sleeves are fine for a ton of horsepower, and wiseco doesn't even make rods. :shakehead

How much is a ton of power? 500+ WHP. It's a proven fact that 6, 7 years ago NOBODY SLEEVED STOCK HONDA BLOCKS and race cars making 500+ horsepower to the wheels were doing it for entire seasons.

Really? 500whp? Damn, who needs sleeves, then? Please man, let's be sensible - producing 300+ whp on stock sleeves is risky and giving advice to NOT sleeve it for that much power is just stupid.

That's okay - he can run stock sleeves and blow it up, I'm sure you won't care. As for the guys on Honda-Tech running that much, I could care less. Most of them are full of shit (I was a member a LONG time ago) and are so biased to what they do, you'll get shutdown for trying something different.

As for MY experience, I have personally ran stock B's to over 300whp and seen the damage on the sleeves. That's why AEBS is my friend and not yours.

Can't we all just get along. Sleeving a block wouldn't hurt anything but isn't required unless you are making a good deal of power. Before someone asks... a good deal would be lets say 280+whp. If it were me, I would definitely do it just to be safe and to be sure I'm not going to have to take out my engine later and strip the block. That's just me though.

Now lets just get along, the whole point is to help the guy out, not to argue. State your opinion and let someone else state theirs, the guy can choose what he wants to do based on the information you and others give him.

it all depends on how much boost/power you want to run.... but as for any internal mods I would definitly suggest sleeving the block possibly get stronger rods, and pistons... maybe even get the crank balanced and blueprinted, depending on how much boost you are running.. but if you're getting to that point you better off building the entire motor including valvetrain and porting the head... so figure out how much power you want/can afford. and go from there.

i totally agree with boosted. pretty much as long as you dont detonate your stock sleeves can handle alot. just needs a good tune.

but the original poster still never mentioned how much hp he wants to make
