I have purchased a new radio for my Civic but I cannot see how to remove the necessary panels/covers,etc. to get the factory radio out. Please help as this is something I would prefer to do myself. It looks fairly SIMPLE if I can ever get to the radio!

im not sure which year civic it is but some i know have the factory alarm inside the radio and therefore u cant take the radio out, if u want an aftermarket head unit u have to leave the facotry one in behind the dash...just a word of warning

He said it is a 94 civic. So I would assume he doesn't have to worry about the alarm in the radio.

If you have Adobe Reader click:
http://www.installdr.com/InstallDocs/Honda/PDF/466017.pdf

If not go here and it will probably tell you how to get it and then veiw the file:

well theres normally simple little catches holding it in, their just hard to see, i cant remember what these stereo's look like so im not sure where the catches are. remove the paneling underneath the streeo and see if you can push in out from there,.,.,.
if all else fails take it to a honda dealer and they should be able to take it out there and then,.,.,.,
