ceramic header: will they acutally do what they say

i have a 94 accord ex, got a cold air intake with re-works filter, and new piping from the catalytic converter back to the muffler and a meineke performance muffler, i have a hi-flow cat converter on the way and i want a header i'd like a stainless steel but i'm short on cash but can afford a ceramic header, it claims 15 extra horses but will it really give me that much and will i be able to notice any difference besides a louder exhaust and extra stop for gas each week?

also i heard that the ceramic coating will flake off after a couple of hundred miles is this true? what are the pros and cons or ceramic coated headers

i have a friend with a dc ceramic header and when it gets oil on it, it stains it real bad.

I got a friend who has a chrome header on and they are turning purple from the heat, as wll have fingerprints from the installation burned in them, so when you look at them they're purple with fingerprints, but my ceramic header on the other hand are still the same color, and the oil thing is true unless you wipe it off right away, especially if they're still hot.

so it sounds like mojeans69 and i have seen the same thing. My friends dc one looks real bad but hes not real big on looks so its not really a big deal to him. But oil and fingerprints are stained in it real bad.

yup and personally I don't think that I could take pride on opening my hood with the header looking like that. I was telling him he should try too take some steel wool, and see if it'll scrape off, heck it already looks like Sh!t

ive heard that cermaic coated keep heat levels down better than the stainless steel once.

One more thing, I heard that an EX stock header is just as good as an aftermarket header. The exhaust flow on them are good.
