Alright, so I went out and bought these headlights - http://www.procarparts.com/store-detail.asp?sku=HD99CV%2D11057PJX
So with that I need to get the h3 bulbs. Since these projectors have four sockets, does that mean I have to order 4 bulbs total ? Since it's an aftermarket part will the h3's that are meant for the civic fit in the projectors ?

If not what do I get instead of the standard civic h3's ?
(I drive a 99 civic sedan EX)

A 96-00 Civic does not use an H3 bulb (which is single filament) stock in it's headlights, it uses a dual filament H4 bulb. You're stock 99Civic EX lightbulbs won't work, they are not H3 bulbs, they are H4 bulbs (a different type).

Since your projectors have seperate high and low beam lightbulbs, you'll need 2 seperate sets ofr H3 bulbs for the projectors (4 bulbs total). 1 set of H3's (2 bulbs) for the low beams and 1 set (2 bulbs) for the high beams.

Installing these is simple. First you remove the front bumper, and then you remove the turn signal socket and unbolt the new headlights. Then install the H3's into the new headlamps, and bolt on the new headlamps to the same location. The stock headlight connector plugs into the connector on the back of the headlamp housing, and the H3's go in the sockets in the housing. The 1157 turn signal goes in the corner lamp spot. Re-install the bumper.

If you want to learn more about lightbulbs, what's good, and bad, how color temperture and light output work, and much more, read this sticky thread @ the top of the forum. It explain in depth about lightbulbs.
